Study, study, study

Hi, lovelies! As most of you know by now, I'm moving to Seoul, so I obviously need to learn Korean. I started to study Korean about a year ago, but I still don't know much at all since I haven't been studying frequently. This is actually mostly because I didn't wanna put too much effort into learning a language if I wasn't sure that I'd have any use for it, but I obviously do now. Haha.

I know by my own and other people's experiences that it's easier to learn a language when you're in a country where it's actually spoken, but right now I'm trying to study as much as I can to be at least a little more prepared before I go.

Right now I'm trying to learn Korean through three different resources. One resource I use is the internet, of course. Secondly, I use this book called 'Read & Speak Korean for Beginners'. And lastly, I also use an interactive software called 'Rosetta Stone'. All of these resources are absolutely amazing in their own way and they have helped me a lot. I'm so excited about finally learning a 4th language and I will definitely make a full post about all of this when the time comes.
I'm about halfway through 'Read & Speak Korean for Beginners'. I hope you don't mind my horrible handwriting. I'm working on it!

Are you studying a new language right now? If you do, please feel free to share any tips for studying in the comments. It would be much appreciated!
Thanks for reading and bye for now, lovelies!

  1. Could you please post a picture of the cover of the book? I'm actually learning Korean myself, and started for about a year ago just like you ^_^ But I've only learned through videos, some notes on my own and memorising the world (also I have a dictionary, which is somewhat helpful), but it would be great to have a textbook. And don't worry about your handwriting, mine is exactly the same, which a hiiiiint of "IT NEEDS TO BE OBVIOUS WHICH SIGN I MEAN, OTHERWISE I WON'T BE ABLE TO READ WHAT I WROTE!"

Also you should check out if you haven't. It's pretty good and they also offers you e-books which you can print out yourself ^_^

There it is! Cover looks exactly like that and I did get mine from amazon for the same price. I'm honestly so glad that I got it! Comes with an audio CD and all which is super useful.

Woaaah, thanks! I already knew a lot of sites online but I never heard of that one before. I can't believe I didn't find this earlier. It's amaaazing! Really, thank you so much~

    2. Yeah, I thought it might be that book, but since you didn't mention the CD I wasn't sure, haha. Life's not supposed to be easy
